Meet the Owner
Cheryl Brower
Hello, I am Cheryl Brower. Owner, Director and teacher here at Woodland Daycare and Preschool. I have been working with children for 32 years now. (geez, that makes me feel old....haha).
I started out opening a family Daycare in our military home, because I wanted raise my own children, and still provide an income for my family. We were very blessed to travel the world with the Air Force. I started off working at the Child Development Center on different bases, but Family childcare is my calling. I firmly believe in a small group setting where I am able to provide individualized attention and care that the children need and develop a relationship with the families I serve. I love these kids like they are my own and still talk to some of them to this day.

I have been a licensed family child care here in Nine Mile, since 2018. It is my love and passion. And it enables me to care for my grandchildren.
I go through extensive licensing requirements to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in my care. I am also a part of the Early Achievers program here in Washington. I cannot say enough great things about this program. I work closely with my coach and I am constantly striving to learn more about Early Childhood education and ways I can continue to grow and improve my program.
As an in-home provider, I am very loving, accepting, and professional. I truly enjoy the children in my care. Helping children to grow into productive citizens, friends, neighbors and future parents themselves, is the most important and rewarding job there is. I want to bring smiles to the children's faces and nurture their curiosity daily.

I was born and raised here in good 'ol Spokane, Washington. I have 2 children of my own and 4 step children. All are grown and moved out; starting their own family. And we are blessed with 5 amazing grandchildren. My husband and I have been happily married since 2006. You will often see him playing with the kids when he gets home from work. They love their "Mr. Mike"!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, Facetiming my grandbabies, working out in the yard, camping, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors, and of course, making runs to Target!
